Mission Statement
Mission StatementÂ
I intend to fully integrate the knowledge I gain from my training to combat the obesity epidemic that I believe is the pivot point of our high rate of chronic non communicable diseases as well as our above average cancer rates. Â Having witnessed firsthand the horrific devastation this has visited on so many of my countrymen and women has ignited in me a passion to gain access to the cutting edge skills and information that can lead to better outcomes and turn the tide against obesity and cancer in my country. Â As a Surgical resident I hope to in the near future fulfil my role in the multimodal approach to tackling these vexing problems. Â Our trauma burden is also very high and the need for a multidisciplinary trauma service is clear. Â In the capacity of a trauma and critical care surgeon I look forward to making a positive difference in the lives of trauma victims as well as shape preventative policies to save lives.Â
